Manchester police search for suspect in November shooting

MANCHESTER — Police are searching for a 36-year-old Maine man wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred in the city late last year.

On Nov. 11, 2024, around 1:30 a.m., Manchester officers were near La Esquina bar at 636 Chestnut St. when they heard people shouting.

Officers saw several people fighting and a man running away as they approached.

Police broke up the fight and learned from witnesses that someone had fired a gun during the altercation.

Through the investigation, police identified Morris Brutus of Lewiston as a suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on a charge of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon.
