BOSTON — At about 6:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) were on patrol in the area of Ruggles Street and Cabot Street when they observed an individual known from prior firearm cases, including discharging a weapon.

As officers approached, the individual noticed them and walked to a side door at 100 Cabot St. He was let into the building, which officers knew was not his residence.

Officers entered the building through the front door and observed six individuals loitering in the stairwell near the side door. They determined the group did not reside there and was trespassing.

Following an investigation, officers conducted a pat frisk and recovered a firearm from the front pouch of one suspect’s hooded sweatshirt. They also found a discarded red tote bag in the stairwell and recovered a second firearm.

The firearms were identified as a Taurus G2C with one round in the chamber and 12 rounds in the magazine, and a Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum with no rounds in the cylinder.

A 13-year-old male was charged with delinquent to wit; unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, and trespassing. He also had an active arrest warrant for unarmed assault to rob.

A 17-year-old female was charged with delinquent to wit; unlawful possession of a firearm and trespassing. She had an outstanding warrant for larceny over $1,200.
