WILLIMANTIC — The Willimantic Police Department announced the arrest of Kaseim Brown, 27, in connection with a shooting that occurred on Halloween night in 2021.
The incident took place during a physical altercation at a local bar on Oct. 31, 2021.
Following a lengthy investigation, an arrest warrant was secured for Brown, who was already incarcerated in New York on unrelated charges.
On Feb. 18, Willimantic police officers traveled to New York to execute the warrant.
Brown was taken into custody without incident and transported to Willimantic Police Headquarters.
He was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and conspiracy to commit assault in the first degree.
Brown was held on a $250,000 cash/surety bond and appeared in Danielson Superior Court on Feb. 19.
The Willimantic Police Department stated it remains committed to addressing violent crime and ensuring community safety.
