MANCHESTER — On Feb. 18, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Manchester Police responded to a report of a criminal threat involving a firearm.

The caller told officers he was parked in a vehicle in front of 91 Russell Street, waiting for his child’s school bus.

He said he was playing music loudly when a man approached his car, told him to turn it down, and threatened him.

The man then entered a nearby building and returned moments later holding a gun.

The victim reported that the suspect pointed the firearm at him, prompting him to leave the area immediately.

Police arrived and identified the suspect as 54-year-old David Belo of Manchester.

Belo initially did not comply with officers’ orders to exit the building.

After a brief stand-off, Belo surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.

He was charged with Criminal Threatening-Deadly Weapon.
