Man arrested for violating release conditions at Waterbury grocery store

WATERBURY — A 55-year-old man was arrested Wednesday evening for allegedly violating the conditions of his release by consuming alcohol at a local grocery store.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Shaw’s in Waterbury.

Vermont State Police responded to a report that Alonzo Kidder, a transient residing in Waterbury, appeared to be intoxicated on the premises.

Kidder had active court-ordered conditions prohibiting him from consuming alcohol.

He was issued a citation to appear in the Washington County Superior Court – Criminal Division.
