BRIDGEPORT — A Bridgeport man was sentenced Wednesday to 51 months in prison for his role in a drug robbery conspiracy.

Andy Marte, 31, also known as “AD,” was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Victor A. Bolden in New Haven.

He will also serve three years of supervised release following his imprisonment.

According to court documents, Marte and three others attempted to rob a Bridgeport apartment on April 28, 2023, believing it contained drugs and drug proceeds.

Marte remained in a car with two handguns as a getaway driver while his accomplices, armed with a crowbar, tried to enter the apartment.

The attempt failed, and the group was intercepted by law enforcement.

Investigators had monitored Marte’s phone, which was under a court-authorized wiretap related to alleged drug trafficking.

Officers seized the handguns and crowbar during the arrest.

Marte pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act Robbery on March 28, 2024.

His criminal history includes multiple firearms offenses and a violent robbery.

Co-defendants Kareem Porter, Tyrone Allen, and Jermaine Bethel also pleaded guilty.

Porter was sentenced to 24 months in prison on October 28, 2024, while Bethel received 12 months and one day on December 2, 2024.

Allen’s sentencing is pending.

The case was investigated by the FBI’s Bridgeport Safe Streets Task Force and the Bridgeport Police Department.

Marte has been detained since his arrest on April 28, 2023.
