DELHI — The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of an 18-year-old Maryland resident for grand larceny following a fraud complaint.
On Tuesday night, Feb. 11, sheriff’s deputies responded to a fraud complaint in the town of Delhi.
An investigation revealed that Kayla Gonsalves had used a debit card without permission and attempted to make multiple transactions through Door Dash.
Gonsalves was arrested on Feb. 12 and charged with 14 counts of grand larceny in the fourth degree, class E felonies under New York State Penal Law.
After processing, Gonsalves was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Delhi Court at a later date.
