WEST HAVEN — On Feb. 15 at approximately 8:50 p.m., the West Haven Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls reporting screams and cries for help from an apartment at 430 Meloy Road.
Callers also reported that a man had jumped through a second-floor window and landed on the walkway leading to the apartment.
Patrol officers arrived at the scene and located the man, who had sustained injuries.
He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Additional officers entered the apartment at 430 Meloy Road, where they discovered the bodies of 19-year-old Hailey Miller and a 2 ½-year-old boy.
Both victims had died from multiple stab wounds.
The child was identified as the son of the suspect.
Police arrested 26-year-old Jevon Tyrese Fletcher in connection with the killings.
He was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of murder with special circumstances, and one count of risk of injury to a child.
Fletcher was held on a $3 million bond and appeared in Milford Superior Court on Feb. 18.
The West Haven Police Department’s detectives are continuing their investigation into the incident.
