Woman charged with aggravated DWI in Throop

THROOP — Deputies with the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Mentz woman on February 15 at 9:53 p.m. for aggravated driving while intoxicated and other traffic violations.

Sheriff Brian Schenck reported that Monica N. Lucio, 26, was taken into custody following a call about a vehicle being operated erratically on State Street Road near Robinson Road in the town of Throop.

Deputies arriving at the scene found a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway with Lucio inside.

Following an investigation, she was arrested for DWI and transported to the Public Safety Building, where she registered a blood alcohol content of .19%.

Due to the BAC level, Lucio was charged with aggravated DWI and issued traffic tickets.

She is scheduled to appear in Throop Town Court on February 25 at 6:00 p.m.
