KINGSTON — A 26-year-old Kingston man was arrested at approximately 9:17 a.m. Wednesday for operating a vehicle with fraudulent license plates and multiple other traffic violations, police said.
The Kingston Police Department Traffic Safety Unit stopped the vehicle after noticing it operating in the parking lane on Broadway.
Officers determined that the license plates on the vehicle had been altered.
The driver was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, driving without a license, operating a vehicle without insurance, and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, along with other traffic violations.
The suspect was processed and released on an appearance ticket for Kingston City Court.
