Bethlehem police arrest man in armed robbery investigation

BETHLEHEM — Police arrested a 42-year-old Albany man Tuesday in connection with an armed robbery at a Glenmont Walmart last month.

Members of the Bethlehem Police Department, assisted by the Albany Police Department, took Alden R. Grey into custody on charges related to the Jan. 29 incident at the store located at 311 Rt. 9W.

According to police reports, Grey allegedly threatened a victim by displaying a firearm and demanding $100.

Grey has been charged with first-degree robbery, a B felony; criminal possession of a firearm, an E felony; second-degree menacing, an A misdemeanor; and petit larceny, an A misdemeanor.

He was arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court before Honorable Erin Lynch and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility.

A return court date has been scheduled for March 18 at 4 p.m.
