Berkley police investigate series of vehicle break-ins

BERKLEY — The Berkley Police Department is investigating a series of vehicle break-ins that occurred overnight on Feb. 14 in the neighborhoods of Tide Meadows Drive and Cranberry Lane.

Authorities said the incidents took place between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m.

At least nine vehicles were either broken into or targeted in attempted break-ins.

Police said two female suspects were seen walking in the area with a dog at the time of the incidents.

Surveillance footage captured one of the suspects inside a victim’s vehicle.

Officers are reviewing security footage and gathering evidence to identify those involved.

Authorities are asking residents to check their security cameras and report any suspicious activity that may help the investigation.
