FAIRLEE — A local man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle was found stuck in the snow on U.S. Route 5 late Friday night.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury barracks responded to the scene at approximately 10:08 p.m. on Feb. 14 after observing a vehicle off the roadway.
The driver, identified as 32-year-old Dakotah Welch of Fairlee, was found to be operating the vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.
Welch was also charged with driving with a suspended license.
He was taken into custody and processed at the Bradford Outpost before being released with a citation to appear in Orange County Superior Court – Criminal Division.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
