BOSTON — At about 7:13 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, officers from the Boston Police Department’s Drug Control Unit arrested two individuals on drug trafficking charges in the Allston/Brighton area.

Alexander DaSilva, 41, of Roxbury, and Kimberly Salcedo, 45, of Boston, were taken into custody following an investigation near 77 Warren Street.

Officers conducting surveillance observed a vehicle park in front of the building.

A female individual exited the building, entered the car, and was quickly dropped off after the vehicle circled the area.

Police approached the woman, identified as Salcedo, and discovered she had two active warrants.

A plastic bag containing approximately 31 grams of crack cocaine was recovered during the encounter.

The vehicle fled the scene but was stopped in heavy traffic near Market Street and Washington Street.

DaSilva, the operator, was detained, and a search yielded a plastic bag with 21 pills believed to be Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride and $1,337 in cash.

Both suspects were charged with trafficking of Class B substances.

DaSilva faces an additional charge of possession with intent to distribute Class B.

Salcedo and DaSilva are expected to be arraigned in Brighton District Court.
