MANCHESTER — On Feb. 2, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Manchester Police responded to an apartment building on Eastern Ave. after a tenant reported a disturbance.
A family was awakened around 1:00 a.m. by aggressive banging on their apartment door.
The tenant looked through the peephole and saw an unknown man holding a fire extinguisher, repeatedly striking the door with it.
The suspect yelled, “Open the door, it’s the fire department and there’s a fire.”
The tenant told the man to leave multiple times, but he continued to hit the door with the fire extinguisher.
The victim called 911, and while on the phone with the operator, the suspect left the scene.
