STOCKBRIDGE — A 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after his vehicle slid off the road Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:19 a.m. on Feb. 13 on Vermont Route 100 in Stockbridge.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks were traveling to a training when they encountered the vehicle off the travel portion of the roadway.
During the investigation, troopers identified the driver as Anthony Beam of Fayston.
They observed signs of impairment and subsequently placed him under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
Beam was transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.
He was released with a criminal citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on April 15 at 8:30 a.m.
