FAIR HAVEN — A Benson woman was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into a reported theft at a local Dunkin’ store.
Brandy L. Ritchie, 39, was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and petit larceny.
The investigation began Feb. 2 at 11:05 a.m. when Fair Haven police responded to Dunkin’ for a reported larceny.
The caller stated they had left their wallet on a table inside the store and, upon returning, discovered it was missing.
A short time later, a credit card from the wallet was used at a nearby Walgreens.
Police determined Ritchie allegedly took the wallet and used the card to make a $223.77 purchase at Walgreens.
Ritchie was arrested Feb. 11 and issued a citation to appear in Rutland District Court to answer to the charges.
