MEDWAY — On the evening of Sunday, Feb. 9, Sgt. Clayton of the East Millinocket Police Department investigated a suspicious vehicle at a local convenience store.
Sgt. Clayton identified one of the occupants as Lindsay Gardner, 25, of Linneus.
During the encounter, it appeared Gardner was under the influence, and drug paraphernalia was observed inside the vehicle.
When asked to exit the vehicle, Gardner physically resisted Sgt. Clayton, leading to a brief struggle before she was restrained.
Sgt. Clayton was assisted by Ofc. Scelso, who detained another passenger, identified as Daniel Ferranti, 34, of Presque Isle.
A third occupant, Colter Cross, 37, of Woodland, was located inside the convenience store.
Officers learned Cross was on probation and Ferranti had bail conditions.
A search of the vehicle revealed suspected methamphetamine, Suboxone, fentanyl, a handgun, cash, and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Gardner was arrested and charged with unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, refusing to submit to arrest, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Ferranti was arrested and charged with unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and violation of bail.
Cross was arrested and charged with unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, operating after revocation, and was held on a probation violation.
All individuals were transported to Penobscot County Jail.
