SALEM — The Salem Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects involved in a multi-state retail theft spree.
The suspects are accused of stealing approximately $1,500 worth of fragrances and shoes from a Burlington Coat Factory.
Authorities say the individuals used theft devices to remove security tags and concealed the stolen merchandise in suitcases and bags taken from the store.
Investigators believe the same group has targeted stores in Nashua, Fall River, and several cities in Rhode Island.
The department is urging anyone with information about the suspects to come forward.
The appeal comes as part of the department’s “Tell Us Who They Are Tuesday” initiative, which focuses on holding criminals accountable and preventing future crimes.
