Tractor trailer goes off road in Alburg

ALBURG — A tractor trailer went off the road on U.S. Route 2 near the Bargain Barn on Feb. 8 at approximately 6:49 p.m., according to authorities.

The operator of the vehicle, identified as 47-year-old Michael Gayle of Winstead, Conn., was not injured in the incident.

The 2019 International LT625 was towed back onto the road with assistance from troopers from the St. Albans Barracks and the Alburg Fire Department.

Traffic was detoured for about one hour via West Shore Road and Truck Route.

The roadway was reopened without further incident.

Weather conditions were clear, and the road was dry at the time of the incident.

No damage to the vehicle was reported.
