At approximately 10:45 a.m. on Feb. 8, the Somersworth Police Department received a report from an individual who alleged they were shot at by a person near Green Street and Indigo Hill Road.

Shortly after, a second call was received from a resident in the same area who claimed they fired a shot at someone attempting to break into their home.

The investigation revealed the involved parties were known to each other.

Authorities identified Gabriel Leandry, 36, of Indigo Hill Road, as the individual who discharged a firearm during the incident.

The round was fired in the direction of one of the parties involved and into the air toward nearby residential structures.

The firearm was seized and is in police custody.

Leandry was arrested and charged with two counts of reckless conduct, a class B felony, due to the use of a firearm.

He was offered a bail commissioner and released on personal recognizance.

Leandry is scheduled to be arraigned on March 11 in the 7th Circuit Court-Dover District Division.
