WILLIAMSTOWN — A 27-year-old local man was arrested early Saturday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence following a disturbance on VT Route 14.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Berlin Barracks responded to the scene at approximately 5 a.m. on Feb. 8 after receiving reports of a disturbance near a residence.
During the investigation, troopers identified Scott R. Emerson of Williamstown as the operator of a motor vehicle on a public roadway.
Emerson exhibited signs of impairment, according to authorities.
He was taken into custody without incident and charged with DUI second offense.
Emerson was processed at the Berlin Barracks and later released to a sober party.
