SPRINGFIELD — A Springfield man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police found him passed out in a running vehicle.

Officers responded to the area of Maple Street at the lower dam parking lot at 2:48 p.m. on Feb. 5 for a report of a male unconscious in a vehicle with the engine still running.

Upon arrival, police located a man inside a silver Toyota Corolla.

The operator was identified as Kyle Arie, 40, of Springfield.

After an investigation, officers determined Arie allegedly refused to submit to an evidentiary breath test.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Arie was processed and issued a criminal citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on Feb. 18 at 8:30 a.m. to answer for the alleged charge of criminal refusal.
