PRIVIDENCE — The Rhode Island State Police reported several arrests over the weekend, including charges ranging from vandalism to assault and possession of a stolen vehicle.
On Friday, February 7, at 4:20 p.m., troopers arrested Derek Rego, 37, of New Bedford, Massachusetts, on an active bench warrant for failure to appear on a technical violation related to a vandalism charge.
Rego was taken into custody at the Wyatt Detention Facility, processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and released after arraignment by a justice of the peace. He is scheduled for a future court date at Sixth Division District Court.
Later that evening, at 10:21 p.m., troopers arrested Leon Parsons, 29, of Cranston, on an active warrant for simple assault issued by the Providence Police Department. Parsons was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue in Providence. He was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to Providence police.
In the early hours of Saturday, February 9, at 1:56 a.m., troopers arrested Arianna Brown, 23, of Providence, on two active warrants.
The first warrant, issued by the Pawtucket Police Department, charged her with violation of a no-contact order and domestic disorderly conduct.
The second warrant, issued by the Providence Police Department, charged her with possession of a stolen vehicle. Brown was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Charles Street in Providence. She was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to Pawtucket police.
