Norwalk school employee arrested for assaulting student

NORWALK — A Nathan Hale Middle School employee was arrested on Feb. 7 for allegedly pushing a student, according to the Norwalk Police Department.

Michael Morris, 30, of Norwalk, turned himself in to police after an arrest warrant was granted by the Stamford Superior Court.

He was charged with third-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, and disorderly conduct.

The Norwalk Police Department received a complaint regarding the incident on Dec. 5, 2024.

Special Victims Unit Detective Tim Marquis conducted an investigation, which included numerous interviews and video analysis.

His findings, which included probable cause to arrest, were documented in the arrest warrant submitted to the court.

Morris was released on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 21.
