Hermon traffic stop leads to seizure of dangerous drugs

HERMON — On Thursday, Feb. 6 at approximately 2:45 p.m., a Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a vehicle in Hermon.

The operator was confirmed to be operating with a suspended license.

During the traffic stop, the deputy developed information that the vehicle may contain illegal drugs.

With the assistance of a K9 unit from the Bangor Police Department, additional leads were developed confirming the presence of illegal drugs.

During a search of the vehicle and the individuals, approximately 450 gross grams of dangerous drugs including cocaine were seized.

This incident remains active and no other information will be released at this time.
