ARLINGTON — On Feb. 7 at approximately 8:31 a.m., Troopers from the Shaftsbury Barracks responded to a single vehicle crash on VTRT 7a, approximately ½ mile north of the Chocolate Barn.
Investigation revealed that a 2017 Subaru Outback, operated by Jessica L. Stevens, 39, of Sandgate, was traveling south on VTRT 7a when Stevens lost control of the vehicle due to icy roadways while attempting to navigate a turn.
The vehicle left the southbound lane and side-swiped a utility pole before coming to rest about 20 feet off the road.
The Subaru sustained moderate damage to the passenger side.
Stevens and her three juvenile passengers, all from Sandgate, were wearing safety belts at the time of the crash, and no injuries were reported.
The vehicle was pulled back onto the roadway by Monarch’s Towing and was able to drive away under its own power.
Troopers were assisted on scene by Monarch’s Towing, AOT, and VT DMV Law Enforcement Division.
