Dozens of crashes reported on Maine highways during winter storm

1 min read

AUGUSTA — Maine State Police responded to more than 60 crashes on the Turnpike and the Interstate during Thursday’s winter storm.

Most crashes were caused by drivers going too fast for conditions or secondary crashes.

Thankfully, there were no serious injuries or fatalities.

Winter roads can be unpredictable — police urge drivers to slow down, leave extra space, drive with caution, and leave plenty of room for plow trucks.
