Suspect charged with Charlestown houseboat homicide

BOSTON — A suspect has been charged in connection with a fatal incident on a Charlestown houseboat, the Boston Police Department announced Thursday.

At 10:43 p.m. on Feb. 2, officers from District 15 responded to a call at a marina in Charlestown.

Upon arrival, they found 65-year-old Joseph Donohue, a Charlestown resident, deceased.

Initially, Nora Nelson, 24, of Boston, was arrested at the scene on unrelated warrants.

Following an investigation by the Boston Police Homicide Unit, an arrest warrant was issued Thursday from the Charlestown District Court, charging Nelson with Donohue’s murder.

The Homicide Unit is actively reviewing the circumstances of the incident and encourages anyone with information to contact them at 617-343-4470.
