SOUTH PORTLAND — The South Portland Police Department (SPPD) has identified the suspect in the Maine Mall shooting that occurred on the afternoon of Wednesday, Feb. 5.
Police are searching for Ahmed Basheer Awad, 20, of Westbrook.
SPPD has obtained a warrant for Elevated Aggravated Assault, a class A felony.
More charges are expected as the case evolves.
