SOUTH PORTLAND — The South Portland Police Department is currently searching for an individual suspected of shooting another individual inside the Maine Mall this afternoon.
The initial investigation suggests that this is an isolated incident, and police do not believe the public is at risk.
However, they are asking members of the public to continue to avoid the mall area while they continue their search.
Police have identified the suspect after an initial investigation.
The suspect was observed leaving the Maine Mall via the Food Court entrance/exit.
SPPD requests that anyone who sees this individual call 911.
Do not approach or engage the suspect.
