On Jan. 29, a series of reports included a scam phone call at 11:04 a.m., where a Manning Street resident was contacted by someone claiming to be from the Needham Police Department seeking donations.
The resident was advised to freeze her credit cards and that the call was fraudulent.

The next day, Jan. 30, saw documentation of a suspicious vehicle on South Street at 5:28 p.m. and a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Dedham Ave and Lincoln Street at 9:20 p.m., resulting in a 58-year-old Needham resident being summoned to court for several driving offenses.
The month concluded with a Jan. 31 report of vandalism at Needham Heights train station at 8:42 p.m., and earlier in the day, officers met with residents over legal issues, fraudulent activity, including false tax forms, and a dog bite incident on Hawthorn Ave.
Feb. 2 began with a report of a package theft from December 2024, and officers assisted the Needham Fire Department (NFD) with a water problem on Rolling Ln at 8:15 a.m.
