BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department’s Drug Control Unit arrested three individuals, including one on drug trafficking charges, during an operation in Brighton on Tuesday.

Around 2:01 p.m., officers assigned to District D-14 (Allston/Brighton) were conducting a drug investigation near 19 Farrington Avenue when they observed a vehicle obstructing a driveway.

After a brief visit to a building by the rear passenger, later identified as Keith Curtis, 39, of Athol, the vehicle left the scene.

Suspecting a drug transaction, police followed the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop as it headed towards Cambridge Street.

Curtis was found to be in possession of fentanyl and was notified he would face court summons for Class A possession.

Meanwhile, officers at the original location confronted a group leaving the building with a duffel bag.

The individuals provided false identification but were eventually identified, leading to the arrest of Michael Groden, 45, of Needham, for Class A possession and outstanding warrants, and Katherine Isaacs, 34, of Boston, on a warrant for intent to distribute Class A.

Further investigation yielded 79 grams of fentanyl, 28 grams of cocaine, and $1,928 from Curtis.

He was charged with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking cocaine, and Class B possession, and is set to be arraigned in Brighton District Court.
