LEWISTON — A Greene man has been charged in connection with a shooting outside a Lewiston bar that left one person injured, police said.
Nathan Breton, 28, was charged with reckless conduct and elevated aggravated assault, according to the Lewiston Police Department.
Police responded to “The Cage” at 97 Ash St. just after midnight on Sunday, Feb. 2, for a report of a man who had been shot outside the establishment.
Officers found Mahad Mohamed, 29, on the side of the street suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Mohamed was transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he received treatment for his non-life-threatening injury.
An investigation revealed that Mohamed and Breton got into an argument inside the bar and exited together.
Once outside the bar, the altercation continued, and Breton allegedly shot Mohamed in the leg.
Breton was transported to the Androscoggin County Jail, where bail was set at $1,000.
