Williamstown man arrested on outstanding warrant

WILLIAMSTOWN –– On Feb. 3 at around 4 p.m., Vermont State Police troopers from the Berlin Barracks apprehended 42-year-old Walter F. Foley in Williamstown on charges stemming from an outstanding in-state warrant, authorities confirmed.

Troopers, who had received information regarding Foley’s whereabouts, conducted a brief investigation that confirmed the existence of an active warrant, which included a $500 bail condition.

Foley was arrested without incident on VT Route 14.

Following his arrest, Foley was transported to the Northeast Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury for holding.

A court appearance is scheduled, although officials note that the date and time of the hearing are subject to change.
