Rhode Island police arrest four on various charges

WOONSOCKET — On Feb. 3, a series of arrests were made by Rhode Island law enforcement units, resulting in four individuals being detained on various criminal charges, officials said.

Craig Washington, 22, was apprehended by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, Intelligence Unit, and Uniform Bureau for numerous offenses including carrying a pistol without a permit and possession of a firearm following a violent crime conviction.

Washington, who is facing additional charges related to domestic and felony assault, was arraigned at the Sixth Division District Court and is now being held without bail.

In a separate operation, Carnell Marrow, 47, was arrested by the same task force for failing to register as a sex offender and not appearing in court to address a previous burglary charge.

Marrow has been turned over to the Providence Police Department for further processing.

Another member of the community, Leon Eghian, 55, was taken into custody by the Financial Crimes Unit.

Eghian faces charges including obtaining property over $10,000 by false pretenses and submitting false documents to a public official.

He was arraigned and released on $10,000 personal recognizance.

Chanthavy Khlok, 42, also arrested by the Financial Crimes Unit, was charged with larceny over $10,000, accessing a computer for fraudulent purposes, and general forgery and counterfeiting.

Khlok was arraigned and released on $25,000 personal recognizance bond.
