COVENTRY–– Police arrested a local man following an investigation into a reported disturbance at his home earlier this month, authorities said Friday.

Kevin Ryscavage, residing at 38 Lamotte Road, was taken into custody on Feb. 2 after Coventry Police responded to the incident.

Ryscavage is facing charges of disorderly conduct, risk of injury to a minor, and illegal possession of high-capacity magazines, according to the Coventry Police Department.

During the investigation, police also discovered Ryscavage had allegedly given false statements regarding his firearms.

Subsequent charges include possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

The initial arrest led to Ryscavage being held on a $25,000 bond.

Ryscavage appeared in court on Feb. 3, where a second arrest was made.

He was later able to post a 7% bond at Rockville Superior Court and was subsequently released.

The cases, numbered 25-477 and 25-485, encompass charges listed under several statutes, including three counts under statute 53-202w(c)(2) for the illegal possession of high-capacity magazines.

Further court dates will follow as the legal process continues.
