Brewer police investigate crash that injured two pedestrians

BREWER — Two pedestrians were seriously injured in a vehicle crash on North Main Street near Harlow Street at about 7:48 p.m. Friday, according to the Brewer Police Department.

Authorities said a 2010 Dodge pickup with a plow, driven by 31-year-old Devin Bedard of Corinth, struck the individuals identified as Amy Jo Frenette, 51, and Simon Borodko, 52, both transient.

Both victims sustained serious injuries and were transported to Northern Light EMMC’s emergency department for treatment.

The Brewer Police officers received assistance from the Holden Police Department to manage the traffic and secure the crash scene.

A crash reconstructionist from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office was also called to the scene to perform forensic mapping.

The incident is still under investigation.
