ROCKINGHAM — A single-vehicle crash on US Route 5 near the Exit 6 off ramp for I-91 led to a DUI-Drug charge for a Rockingham man late last night, Vermont State Police reported.

At 9:37 p.m. on Feb. 2, police and emergency responders arrived on the scene to find a 2023 Subaru WRX with minor front-end damage.

The driver, Nicholas Leblanc, 25, from Orleans, showed no signs of injury but displayed heavy signs of impairment while interacting with officers and medical personnel.

Due to the snowy conditions, the road was covered in snow at the time of the accident.

Despite the weather, no other vehicles were involved, and Leblanc was the sole occupant of his vehicle.

Leblanc was transported to Springfield Hospital for evaluation.

After an investigation, he was cited to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on March 25 at 8:30 a.m.
