PROVIDENCE — Multiple individuals have been apprehended by Rhode Island law enforcement agencies in a series of unrelated incidents, authorities reported this week.
On Jan. 29, the ACI Investigations Unit charged Shaun Allen, 25, with a second-offense violation of a no-contact order related to domestic violence.
Allen, a Woonsocket resident, was arraigned in Third District Court and subsequently turned over to the Sheriffs Department.
The same day, Justin Araujo, 36, from Pawtucket, was charged as a Fugitive from Justice from Massachusetts, facing charges including motor vehicle larceny and conspiracy.
David Nadeau, 60, of West Warwick, was charged with similar offenses, including conspiracy, larceny over $1,200, and receiving stolen property.
Both Araujo and Nadeau were arraigned and remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs Department.
On Jan. 30, HIDTA Task Force members arrested Christopher Carvalho, 29, from Providence, on charges related to the possession with intent to deliver controlled substances, including fentanyl and oxycodone.
Carvalho was held without bail following arraignment.
That same day, Justin Lomastro, 24, of North Kingstown, was detained by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force on an arrest warrant for distributing obscene material.
The Warwick Police Department took custody of Lomastro.
Pedro Botehlo, 51, from Warwick, was taken into custody for possessing and intending to deliver cocaine and marijuana.
After processing, Botehlo was placed in the ACI Intake Center pending his arraignment.
On Jan. 31, the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Migdalia S.
Alonzo, 26, of Providence, for larceny targeting an individual over 65 years old.
Alonzo was processed and then taken to court for arraignment.
In a separate incident on Jan. 31, Juan Larracuente, 35, of Cranston, was arrested on two counts of felony malicious injury to animals.
The Cranston Police Department is now handling the case following Larracuente’s custody transfer.
