OXFORD — A man was arrested Friday for allegedly threatening people with a knife at a package store in this Massachusetts town, police said.

Officers from the Oxford Police Department responded around 4 p.m. to a call about an individual wielding a knife at the Oxford Package Store, located at 331 Main Street.

Witnesses directed police to Colin Kortze, who the victim said approached him aggressively after he got out of his car.

A loud argument followed.

When another person arrived, Kortze allegedly pulled out a knife and made threatening remarks.

Kortze was taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 265, Section 15B.

He was released on personal recognizance.

He is expected to appear for arraignment this morning at Dudley District Court.
