Manchester man faces multiple sexual assault charges

MANCHESTER — A 26-year-old Manchester man has been indicted on numerous charges after being accused of sexually assaulting several children, authorities said.

Alexander Haggie was arrested in October and was indicted earlier this month on multiple counts, including three counts of pattern aggravated felonious sexual assault and nine counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, according to the Manchester Police Department’s Juvenile Unit.

The indictment also includes charges of witness tampering, indecent exposure, solicitation of sex, second-degree assault involving strangulation, criminal threatening, endangering the welfare of a child, sexual assault with sexual contact, prohibited use of computer services, transmission of a lewd image to a child, gross lewdness in the presence of a child, and one count of simple assault.

Haggie is being held on preventative detention and is scheduled for arraignment on Feb. 24 at Hillsborough Superior Court – North.

In an effort to protect their privacy, the identities of the juvenile victims have not been disclosed.

In a related case, Haggie’s girlfriend, 29-year-old Nicole Menard of Manchester, was arrested in November.

After posting $500 cash bail, she was released.

Menard faces two counts of witness tampering and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Her arraignment is set for Feb. 21 at the same court.
