Arlington woman charged with assaulting EMS personnel

ARLINGTON — A 62-year-old Arlington woman was cited for assaulting a protected professional on Jan. 19, according to Vermont State Police.

Authorities said they were called to assist the Arlington Rescue Squad at Country View Lane at about 3:50 p.m. Upon arrival, troopers were informed that Linda Lee O’Brien had become assaultive towards the EMS crew attending the scene.

The victim, identified as 51-year-old Mark Luce, also from Arlington, was performing his duties when the incident occurred.

O’Brien was later cited to appear in court to face charges under for assault of a protected professional.

Further details on the circumstances surrounding the assault were not immediately released.

The court date for O’Brien has yet to be announced.
