NEEDHAM — A series of incidents, ranging from a stolen vehicle to a workplace assault, kept Needham Police Department busy over several days, authorities reported.
On the morning of Jan. 20, at 7:59 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a Coulton Park residence where a stolen motor vehicle was reported.
The vehicle was later found on the reporting party’s street, and an investigation is ongoing.
Later that day, at 1:06 p.m., police documented ongoing neighbor trouble at a Bird Street address.
In the afternoon, at 4:20 p.m., an officer looked into a suspicious text from a Webster Street address.
On Jan. 21, disturbances and thefts drew police attention.
Officers responded to a disturbance at a Highland Circle address at 1:30 p.m., restoring peace and documenting the incident.
A youth was reported for stealing items from a Great Plain Avenue business, and a South Street resident reported receiving an unauthorized debit card, which was canceled.
An assault at a Highland Avenue business was reported at 5:42 p.m., with the victim requesting documentation only.
A case of identity fraud was reported by a Brookline Street resident at 6:37 p.m., and at 6:27 p.m., officers were called to manage a disruptive party on Broadmeadow Road.
The next day, on Jan. 22, officers investigated a physical altercation on 4th Avenue and a fraudulent use of an EBT card by a Rosemary Way resident.
That evening, a 22-year-old Needham man was cited during a vehicle stop for driving an uninsured vehicle with a suspended registration.
Legal processes and investigations into assault allegations continued over the next two days.
On Jan. 24, a fire broke out in a Blacksmith Drive garage, which was quickly extinguished without any injuries.
On Jan. 26, a 68-year-old Newton man was arrested and charged with OUI liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation after officers responded to reports of erratic driving.
