PROVIDENCE — A joint operation involving several law enforcement units resulted in the arrest of three individuals on separate charges, including insurance fraud and failure to register as sex offenders.
On Jan. 28, Frank Rogowski, 33, of Coventry, was arrested on charges of insurance fraud over $10,000 and obtaining property under false pretenses over $10,000.
The arrest followed an investigation by the Auto Theft Unit.
Rogowski was processed at Headquarters and later appeared in Third District Court as a probation violator.
Additionally, the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended Andrew V. Silvestri, 30, of Providence, on multiple warrants, including failure to register as a sex offender and failure to appear in court for related charges from Providence, Pawtucket, and Warwick Police Departments.
Silvestri was transported to the Providence Police Department without incident.
Solomon Gibbs, 49, of Pawtucket, was also arrested by the Violent Fugitive Task Force for failure to register as a sex offender based on a warrant from the Providence Police Department.
Gibbs was taken into custody without issue and handed over to local authorities.
