South Royalton residents arrested for drug trafficking, possession

SOUTH ROYALTON — In the early hours of Jan. 24, Vermont State Police arrested two South Royalton residents on drug-related charges following a traffic stop.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Royalton Barracks stopped a vehicle on South Windsor Street near Moses Lane at approximately 1:30 a.m. for a traffic violation.

During their investigation, they discovered that the driver, Harmonie Cosgrove, 28, was trafficking fentanyl.

Kenvron Gardner, 44, a passenger in the vehicle, was found in possession of methamphetamine and had an active in-state arrest warrant.

Gardner was also found to be in violation of conditions of release from a previous court case.

Both Cosgrove and Gardner were taken into custody and processed at the Vermont State Police – Royalton Barracks.

Gardner was cited to appear at Windsor County Superior Court at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 24 for the arrest warrant.

He is scheduled to appear again on April 1 at 8:30 a.m. for the possession charge.

Gardner was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility on $500 bail.

Cosgrove received a citation for April 1 at 8:30 a.m. and was released.
