WORCESTER — Worcester Police Department’s Vice Squad made a significant drug bust on Jan. 27, arresting a man on charges of cocaine trafficking following a search warrant execution at a Sever Street apartment.
Isaias Martinez, 35, was apprehended by vice detectives as he left his residence at around 8 a.m. Authorities had obtained a search warrant for Martinez’s home and made the arrest before conducting the search.
During the investigation, officers discovered approximately 96 grams of cocaine, individually packaged, both in the apartment and on Martinez.
In addition to the drugs, police found drug paraphernalia and a substantial amount of cash.
Martinez is facing charges for trafficking in a Class B substance and possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance.
The arrest is part of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the community.
