Man arrested for methamphetamine possession during traffic stop in Royalton

ROYALTON — A traffic stop for a violation on Route 107 led to the arrest of a Randolph man early Wednesday morning, according to the Vermont State Police.

Stephen Kondi, 48, was pulled over at approximately 12:42 a.m. by troopers from the Royalton Barracks.

During the stop, authorities discovered that Kondi was in possession of methamphetamine.

Kondi was taken into custody and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.

He was cited to appear at the Windsor County Superior Court on April 1 at 8:30 a.m. After being issued a citation, Kondi was released.

The Vermont State Police have not released further details about the quantity of methamphetamine found or the specific nature of the initial traffic violation that led to Kondi’s stop and subsequent arrest.
