KENSINGTON — A vehicle veered off the road and struck a telephone pole on Wild Pasture Road at approximately 8:30 a.m. Jan. 27, resulting in a snapped pole and downed wires near house number 81, police said.

No injuries were reported following the collision.

However, Wild Pasture Road will be closed from Osgood Road to Amesbury Road as Unitil Energy evaluates and repairs the damage.

Local residents have been advised to seek alternative routes.

Access to homes off Wild Pasture Road is only possible via Amesbury Road, as there is no throughway from the Osgood Road side.

Authorities have not specified how long the road will be closed, and drivers are urged to stay clear of the area until further notice.
