Coventry man arrested for abuse order violation, second DUI

COVENTRY — A Coventry man was arrested early Wednesday on charges of violating an abuse prevention order and driving under the influence, according to Vermont State Police.

Terry Degreenia, 47, was taken into custody after troopers responded to a report on Riegel Road around 12:22 a.m. An investigation found that Degreenia had breached an active abuse prevention order.

During his arrest, troopers noted signs of impairment and determined that he had been operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Degreenia was processed at the Derby Barracks and held on $2,500 bail at Northern State Correctional Facility pending further proceedings.

The Vermont State Police did not release any information regarding the victim, adhering to policies on confidentiality in cases of domestic violence and sexual assault.
